The MURIA site was created a few months ago and now has close to 500 ads posted on it.
The site layout was finalized at the beginning of the year, with ads for company sales classified by type of businesses (the "transport" business has been added to the four other business types), by region (France Telecom zip codes) and by revenue brackets.
The operating principles were developed previously. They are briefly described below.
1) THE INFORMATION FOUND ON THE MURIA SITE IS PROVIDED BY INTERMEDIARIES
Who are the intermediaries ?
Those persons who are regularly active in company transfers :
- professional organizations (employers' associations)
- Chamber of Commerce
- Specialized firms of publications
They are the ones who place adds FREE OF CHARGE and they are the only persons that MURIA has contact with :
MURIA DOESN'T KNOW THE ADDRESSES OF COMPANIES FOR SALE
2) THE ADS FOUND ON THE SITE DO NOT "CLEARLY" INDICATE THE ADDRESSES OF THE INTERMEDIARIES WHO PLACED THEM.
But persons affiliated with or representatives of the intermediaries, who have an agreement with MURIA, can obtain these addresses free of charge from the access codes that the intermediaries have assigned to them.
This also hods true for buyers who prefer to act individually. They have the option of purchasing the access codes directly from us.
Each purchase of a code includes the communication of 40 addresses per year (to be consulted by batches of 10)
MURIA IS SOLEY AN ADVERTISING MEDIUM AND THEREFORE NEVER COMPETES WITH THE INTERMEDIARIES PLACING ADS IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER
ON THE OTHER HAND, MURIA PROVIDES INTERMEDIARIES WITH :
- The possibility to place ads to sell companies (or else takeover or partnerships) FREE OF CHARGE, in all cases ;
- The possibility to offer services to persons affiliated with or representatives of these intermediaries, through free communication of a large number of ads on a single site, if they enter into an agreement with MURIA.
3) As previously indicated, individual buyers can also obtain access codes, including the communication of 40 addresses. A secure server for credit card payment will soon be available on the site. For the moment, it is enough to contact MURIA by e-mail or regular mail at the address given in the "Place an ad" section, or else by telephone at +33 1 64 24 82 39.
4) To date, several agreements have been entered into or are in the process of being entered into with several major chambers of commerce and some very influential employers' associations. This therefore ensures that large number of potential buyers (access code holders) will quickly come to visit the site and that the ads placed with MURIA will be viewed by many persons.
